My Creative Journey
Graduated in Montreal, Canada with an advanced degree in graphic design, I started working immediately in a small but successful design studio partnered with a printing broker company, therefore, I learned all the ins and outs of prepress and graphic production, and soon enough I was second only to the studio owner and founder, training the new designers joining our expanding creative team.
This experience brought me confidence that I enjoyed sharing my expertise with others and getting better at it. Then in 2002, I took up a graphic design teaching position at an international design school in Beijing, China.
Since then, I've achieved a Masters in Design, currently working on a Higher Education Senior Fellowship from UK and I've taken positions of leaderships in academia, such as the art and design foundation courses at the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology (BIFT) and the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA International), until reaching my current position as Programme Lead for Graphic Arts at the University of Southampton's China campus in Dalian.
Throughout the years, I have remained active creatively, working on publications, websites, apps, packaging, illustrations, concept art, filmmaking and animation. While balancing my teaching job with freelance work, where I've worked with prestigious companies like Ogilvy, Volkswagen, Aigle, China World Hotel, and many others.
